Dry climate routes
Dry climate terrain includes deserts, hills and plateaus with relatively little water. Rivers can carve difficult gorges.
Plan the operation
Find a feasible climb to each plateau before choosing the shortest line. Compare a detour with a bridge, tunnel or air connection.
Check the result
Record terrain work and access at both ends. A flat-looking plateau does not mean the approach to it is inexpensive.
